During the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, we found that there are many ways that we could still share and commemorate Anzac Day at home.
The Coach House Museum shared stories, poems and activities reflecting on the servicemen and servicewomen, past and present, who displayed courage and self-sacrifice serving our country.
The RSA and New Zealand Defence Force invited us to remember those who have given their lives for our country by calling us to unite and ‘Stand At Dawn’. They also sent a call across the Tasman to our Australian friends to 'Stand At Dawn' with us.
A time to pay respect and acknowledge the many thousands of our military people who are serving or have served, who are called upon to support us in times of war, conflict and disasters.
And as a nation we did stand at our letterbox, driveway, window or front door. Wherever we were in the world, we stood united and took a moment to remember, while staying safe within our ‘bubble’.
