The Jeanne Purdy Singing School, with the popular Tenors and Divas Singing Group, will be presenting a Christmas Variety Concert for the first time at the Coach House Museum in Feilding at 2pm on Sunday 8 December.
Jeanne’s singing school, while based in Palmerston North, has a good mix of experienced Feilding and Palmerston North singers, and has held a mid-year and an end-of-year concert for the past seven years.
The singing school is renowned for its relaxed ‘Seriously Singing for Fun’ atmosphere, and Jeanne Purdy’s performers will delight concert-goers with their amazing talent.
The programme promises to have a mixture of contemporary songs, together with some Christmas songs. A mixture for everybody to enjoy.
The concert will feature: ‘The Tenors and Divas’; ‘The Decibelles’ (female singers with close three-part harmony); a number of Singing School soloists; and for the first time, a small choir from Carncot School, an Independent School in Palmerston North. Jeanne coaches these very talented year 3 to 8 singers – sure to be a highlight of the concert.
Tickets, at $5 will be available at the door, and all proceeds will go to the Coach House Museum.
