ANZAC Remembrance

War Poetry (Closed)

24/Apr/2022

The aim of poetry is to paint a vivid picture with words.  First and Second World War Poetry reflected the feelings of those who experienced the conflicts first hand. The ANZAC poetry experience was formed at Gallipoli. Themes of national pride, patriotism and ‘mateship’ are prominent and sustain the idea that Australia and New Zealand found their identity and became their own nations during the bloodshed, tragedy, and sacrifices of war.  This video is a selection of the ANZAC poets.   Click here to start video
